ORIGIN STORY
Many of you may be wondering how the BT-110 originated. Well here is the story. The baling of cornstalks has been around for many decades, but the equipment that is used to make these bales has remained mostly the same, especially the pick-up teeth. After over 20 years of dealing with the same issues with tooth breakage, one of the founders of Farmhouse Mechanical Design decided there has to be a better way. He began talking with his son about his issues, and the two quickly developed the first concept of the BT-110 tooth on a piece of paper with a crayon. It happens that his son has over 12 years of experience as a mechanical engineer, and had the correct resources from his years of work to put the plan into action.
The two quickly began down the road of Research and Development on the BT-110. Choosing the right materials happened to be the most challenging endeavor the two founders took on. After 2 years of development which included testing on 3 different rubber materials and 7 different steel materials, the perfect combination of materials was found and the BT-110 was put into full production.
The BT-110 is designed in the USA by two experts in their field of study, cornstalk baling and engineering. Farmhouse Mechanical Design is a family-owned business and we are here to help you with your baling needs. Please contact us via email or phone to learn more about our product.
